Founded Wednesday, January 15, 1908 in the West Wing of Miner Hall at Howard University in Washington, DC, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is an international service organization. It is the oldest Greek-letter organization founded and established by African American college-educated women. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is an exemplary organization founded on the legacy of outstanding sisterhood, scholarship and service.
The Zeta Alpha Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. was chartered on the campus of Arizona State University on November 28, 1970 by twelve phenomenal women. Since its establishment on the campus of Arizona State University, the Zeta Alpha Chapter has won numerous awards and continues to serve through its staple events by uplifting the traditions and purpose of our sorority, living out the legacy of our chapter, enhancing the standards of our campus, and continuously serving the community around us for the betterment of our people.
