Visions/Purpose:
The Purpose of Zaria is to create an atmosphere where women can come together and express themselves through conversations that are not talked about enough in our communities. In this non-judgmental open forum type setting, it allows women to familiarize themselves with public speaking, relaying a message in an understandable context and building relationships with their peers.
Goals: The main goal for this organization is to allow younng women to get a better sense of what it means to invest on womanhood and grow mentally and spiritually. What will be shared here as far as conversation will hopefully give them tools that they can take and invest in other aspects of their lives be it, organizational, immediate relationships (friends or family) or their communities. Ultimately it is imperative that humility is a key focus in our development and healing.
Outreach:
The organization seeks to reach women of all backgrounds, ethnicities, and walks of life. The purpose for this approach is to get a sense of understanding of what each person possesses and how our experience can be cultivated through various representations of those experiences.
Zaria is an open forum women's organization, where conversations are held to empower and progress young women. We pride ourselves on self-respect, leadership, honesty and interdependence. If you are interested in attending one of our meetings please contact the following persons:
